CABA-ACAB is hosting a Webinar & Forum on Unmarked Burials & Missing Children Investigations on June 15th, 1-4pm EDT. Click here to register: CABA-ACAB members webinar. Note, this event is only open to CABA-ACAB members - click here to join or renew. Questions can be sent to irs-unmarkedgraves@caba-acab.net.
The aims of this event are as follows:
- To brief the membership at large about developments and issues related to unmarked graves and missing children from Residential Schools and the committee’s activities since the last update.
- To support network-building and offer the membership an opportunity to hear from colleagues who are already engaged in the matter, specifically insights they have gathered in the course of their work - respecting the boundaries posed by confidentiality, ethics, and personal obligations about what they may share.
- To foster a productive discussion within the Association about how this ongoing issue may affect those CABA-ACAB members who are not already directly involved as survivors, intergenerational survivors, or collaborators, and about how the Association and individual members can respond and support colleagues who are already engaged. In doing so, it will lay the groundwork for ongoing events, discussion, and action within CABA/ACAB.
- To review and discuss a draft revision of CABA-ACAB's 2021 statement on Missing Children and Unmarked Burials, which will restate and update the principles articulated therein and address developments since 2021.
More information will be made available to registrants.
