TRAVEL TO THE CONFERENCE
The city of Peterborough is located on the Ontonabee River in East Central Ontario, an hour and a half's drive from Toronto. It can be reached in the following ways:
Airport Shuttle from Toronto Pearson Internationa Airport:
An airport shuttle can be booked through Century Transportation (http://www.centurytransportation.ca). The trip from Pearson Airport to the Peterborough Holiday Inn takes approximately 1.5 hours depending on traffic.
GO Transit:
Lakeshore Eastbound GO Trains run every half hour from Toronto Union Station to Oshawa. From there, a GO bus runs to downtown Peterborough every two to three hours. Please check the GO Transit schedule (http://www.gotranist.com) to make sure that you time your GO train trip such that a bus will be waiting for you in Oshawa to take you to Peterborough.
Getting from the Airport to Union Station in Toronto:
Porter Airlines offers a free shuttle bus servie from Billy Bishop Airport to Front Street adjacent to Union Station (http://www.portstoronto.com/airport/passenger-information/to-from/airpor...), where you can catch a Lakeshore East GO train to Oshawa.
Union Pearson Express (http://www.torontopearson.com/en/toandfrom/upexpress/#) transports travelers from Pearson International Airport to Union Station in downtown Toronto. The trip takes 25 minutes and trails leave every 15 minutes between 5:30 am to 1:00 am. Once at Union you can catch a Lakeshore East GO train to Oshawa.
Greyhound Bus:
A Greyhound bus runs between the downtown bus terminal in Toronto (610 Bay Street) and the downtown terminal in Peterborough several times a day. The Greyhound Terminal is several blocks north of Union Station and you can either walk (approx.. 30 minutes), or take the subway Union to Dundas station and walk west from Dundas to Bay and walk north one block (approx.. 15 minutes). Ample parking is available at the Holiday Inn, and the downtown core is within easy walking distance from the hotel. If you do not have a car but wish to travel further afield, please see the following links to the city’s public transportation and taxi services.

Your conference package will contain a list of recommended restaurants and watering holes and a map showing their location. Most are located in the downtown core a short walk from the hotel.
